Job Description

As Industrial Configuration Manager, you will interact on a regular basis with the Designers and Draftmen, the Product Design Authorities, the Quality, Purchasing, Logistics and Production departments.

This is a consultancy role within an industrial manufacturing environment, requiring strong experience in manufacturing configuration managementManufacturing Bill of Materials (MBOM), and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tools such as Windchill.

Responsibilities:

  • Implementation of the Configuration Management system.
  • Consistency of information in the configuration management system.
  • Responsible for the establishment of reference baselines.
  • Ensure accuracy, completeness, and up-to-date data within the MBOM, supporting production needs and ensuring traceability throughout the product lifecycle.

Main tasks:

  • Tailors the Configuration Management system, process and tools to ensure traceability, quality and productivity from design to production.
  • Works with Windchill PLM to manage product data, structures, and change processes, with a particular focus on the MBOM.
  • Coordinates with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure the application and follow-up of configuration management requirements (SOW, etc.).
  • Participates in the selection of Configuration Items subject to configuration monitoring.
  • Animates, organises, and manages the Configuration Control Board (CCB) as well as pre- and post-CCB activities (including administrative tasks).
  • Participates in phase reviews (PDR, CDR, etc.) and in configuration audits (FCA and PCA).

Profile:

  • Proven experience in a configuration management role, ideally within a manufacturing or industrial context.
  • Hands-on experience with Windchill PLM.
  • Solid knowledge of MBOM (Manufacturing Bill of Materials) and its implementation in an industrial setting.
  • Experience in the Defence, Aerospace or Automotive industry is a plus.
  • Self-motivated, taking ownership and driving topics to fulfill company mission.
  • Rigorous, well-organized and finisher mind-set.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills towards stakeholders.
  • Fluent in French and proficient in English.
