Job Description

Service description:

The mission consists of the following tasks:

• Writing test plans and test scenarios

The mission consists in writing test plans and test scenarios based on existing documentation and functionalities for the applications in the Asset Management and Market & Adequacy (CRM) domains.

Make recommendations on the tests to execute (e.g. non-regression tests) based on Acceptance Criteria defined in User Stories and identified risks.

The test scenarios include:

  • Functional testing
  • Non-functional testing (volume, performance, security, data quality, etc.)
  • Integration testing
  • Non-regression testing

All documents are written in English and must be accessible to any European reader with a basic knowledge of English.

• Preparing test data

Test data must be selected or created before executing the test scenarios.

• Executing the test scenarios

An important part of the mission is to execute the test plans / test scenarios and document test results (success or failure) with evidence such as logs and screenshots.

This must be done pragmatically, efficiently, and within the team’s planning.

• Test automation

  • In coordination with the team, select test cases to be integrated into an automated test suite
  • Implement test automation
  • Maintain and execute automated test suites regularly

• Follow-up of defects

  • Report and follow up defects using bug-tracking tools
  • Update and maintain test documentation with results

Achieving the required quality level in collaboration with developers and the project leader is the main goal.

The tester is responsible for giving the “Go” for deployment from the test environment to the acceptance environment and must consider (and reproduce in testing) any defect found in acceptance or production environments.

The IT Application Manager (ITAM) is responsible for planning and assigning the tester’s work.

Work repartition of tasks:

  • 30% test specification
  • 30% test automation
  • 30% test execution & defect follow-up
  • 10% test reporting

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in test planning, test design, and test scenario writing
  • Experience in test automation and/or programming/scripting (e.g. Python) or ability to explain logic in pseudo code
  • Basic knowledge of databases (SQL and NoSQL) and queries
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams

Nice to have:

  • Experience with Robot Framework (RF)
  • Knowledge of English (mandatory); knowledge of French and/or Dutch is a plus
  • Ability to work both autonomously and in a team
  • Critical mindset and ability to challenge
  • Understanding of basic IT concepts (services, client applications, APIs, protocols, front-end/back-end, etc.)
  • Experience with RabbitMQ (strong plus)
  • Experience with DevOps tickets (plus)
  • Knowledge of security testing (plus)

Additional information:

  • Work regime: Full time
  • Location: Brussels + remote (max. 3 days/week)
  • Proposals will be shared before the deadline
