The Training Instructor conducts trainings on cryptographic solutions, covering practical, operational, and regulatory aspects, in accordance with the requirements of Belgian Defence.
The courses, exercises and assessments are prepared upfront by a team of Subject Matter Experts (SME’s) based on scope and teaching objectives agreed upon with the customer. Besides their core mission of training delivery, the Training Instructions participate to the training material development and validation led by the SME’s. The trainings are delivered in majority in-person, with occasional online teaching. Some courses are followed by a written exam that needs to be supervised and marked. The training duration per week is normally maximum 3 to 4 days. The remaining time is spent on preparation, personal training, improving exercises, organisational meetings, and providing feedback. The candidates will have to demonstrate a combination of familiarity with technical environments, pedagogy and adaptability, as well as the ability to provide personalized feedback to promote the progression of the learners. They are also expected to demonstrate vulgarization capabilities, breaking down complex topics into concepts adapted to their audience. This call for candidates is opened in the context of a business opportunity around the usage of cryptographic means in sensitive contexts. The training mission will be extended to other topics such as handling of radio devices following a “train the trainer” approach.
