Service description :

Cloud Infrastructure Management

• Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot managed and self-hosted platforms on Azure, including Kubernetes, Kafka, PostgreSQL, Keycloak, and Opensearch
• Apply patching and routine updates in line with organizational and security processes.
• Configure and manage access controls and secrets (e.g., with Keycloak and platform-native tools)
• Maintain configuration management (e.g., with tools like Terraform, Helm)
• Produce and update technical and operational documentation for assigned infrastructure components

DevOps & Automation

• Support deployment activities and maintain CI/CD pipelines, leveraging Azure DevOps or similar tools

Monitoring & Optimization

• Monitor system health and respond to platform incidents, escalating complex issues to senior staff or specialists when required
• Provide input to capacity and performance monitoring, reporting detected bottlenecks or improvement opportunities

Support & maintenance

• Perform routine backups, restore operations, and basic disaster recovery activities as per documented processes
• Collaborate with development/engineering, security, and other teams to resolve system-level issues and support platform changes

Collaboration & Support

• Work closely with the team to develop and deploy cloud components and infrastructure as defined in the product backlog and user stories, ensuring technical tasks are completed efficiently and to quality standards
• Take part in Scrum ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives to share progress, address obstacles, and align work with team goals
• Work collaboratively with team members, contribute to ongoing refinement of processes and solutions based on agile feedback, and assist with troubleshooting and optimizing cloud services throughout the iterative development cycle

Requirements:

• Hands-on experience in cloud infrastructure operations with Azure, including resource provisioning, monitoring, and cost awareness

  • Azure Monitoring
• Operational skills in deploying, configuring, and supporting Kubernetes, Kafka, PostgreSQL, CEPH, Opensearch, Authentication and Authorization incl. Keycloak
• Familiarity with infrastructure as code and container orchestration tools (Terraform)
• Basic scripting and automation (e.g., PowerShell, Bash, Python) for operational tasks
• Experience working with CI/CD pipelines and version control (e.g., Azure DevOps, Git, ArgoCD, Helm)
• Solid understanding of cloud security, identity and access management, and data protection

• Good analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities
• Effective written and spoken communication skills in English (other languages a plus: French, Dutch, German)
• Strong teamwork; can work independently on assigned tasks and escalate appropriately
• Work with and follow guidance from Lead Cloud Engineers, Architects or Operations Managers
• Engage in ticketing and documentation systems as used by Elia Group/50Hertz

On-duty

• Participate in shift/on-call rotations as per operational policy when required

• Location: Brussels, Emperor office (central station)
• Telework: Elia’s remote work policy is applicable to the delivery of the service.

• Possess a work permit allowing the individual to work in Belgium.
• Hold a valid residence permit confirming the right of residence in Belgium.

• Please note that ELIA/ 50Hertz at all times need to maintain the flexibility to switch location of PO. In case of a change, the local tender process must be respected.
