Data Quality Analyst
Mission context
The objective of the BNPPF Data department, under the responsibility of the Chief Data Officer, is to modernize and control its data repositories, data governance, data management and data usage. Its ambition is to:
- Safeguard and cultivate the bank’s revenue streams
- Gain efficiency through the rationalisation of data management practices and usages, and improved data quality
- Comply with the regulatory environment and requirements
- Create an adaptable platform
The Data Quality team is part of the management team of the Data Governance Centre of Expertise, which reports to the CDO.
The candidate will work on data quality activities in a broad sense. This includes documenting bank's critical metadata, designing & implementing new processes, defining remediation plans with main stakeholders, on different topics related to Data quality management on financial security data perimeters.??????
Function description
Responsibilities:
The role of the Data Quality Analyst will primarily cover the following topics:
- Create data quality controls on the data that are key to support efficient business processes related to client, KYC and transactional data
- Monitor the quality of these data based on dedicated dashboards / KPIs, and support their redesign & upgrade
- Coordinate the resolution of data quality issues through the analysis and solving of potential dysfunctions and/or non-optimized usage of client and KYC data:
- Identification of Data Quality issues (proactive and reactive), and documentation of their business impacts, as support to issues prioritisation
- Analysis of their Root Causes
- Proposition of solutions (via IT development or via change of process or via manual corrections) in collaboration with various stakeholders (IT, process, operations, compliance, …)
- Support to change management actions for impacted teams
Support Data certification processes and contribute to the Client and Compliance Data Quality Assessment & Remediation CommitteesContribute to designing, monitoring and reporting on common reference tools (e.g. data definitions, dictionaries and glossaries), consolidating and harmonizing themSupport the Client and Compliance Data Managers in the maintenance of the key Financial Security data documentation, and to the identification of use cases that bring value to the bankDevelop your expertise on the Financial Security data flows & applicationsAct as a key contributor to the development of the Data Quality practices, sharing experience, best practices, challenges, use cases, areas of improvement within the Data Quality Analysts Community

Education
You have at least a Master’s degree.
Required experience / knowledge
- You have at least 3 yearsof experience in Data Quality Analysis in a bank.
- You understand data lifecycle and data usage.
- You demonstrate strong analytical ability.
- You have business experience in Financial Security domains (KYC, AML, Sanctions).
Technical experience
mandatory
- Office tools (Excel, MS Access, Powerpoint)

- Stakeholders management

- Knowledge of bank's databases
- Experience in data governance framework and tools (Collibra/Ab Initio)
- Development and/or use of dashboards (eg Tableau)
- Business Objects experience
- Knowledge of the digital culture and capacity to navigate into the digital ecosystem
- SQL, SAS, Python is a plus
Business experience

- Banking, in the specific Financial Security data domain

- Experience in BNP Paribas Fortis environment
