Senior IT Program Manager

Role Purpose

The Senior IT Program Manager is accountable for the end‑to‑end delivery of large‑scale, transversal IT programs within Flat Europe. The role ensures that IT solutions are delivered on time, within budget, and with measurable business value, fully aligned with the global IT roadmap and governance standards.

The position operates at the interface between IT and Business, coordinating Product Owners, architects, delivery teams, and stakeholders across multiple countries and sites.

Key Responsibilities & Missions

• Own the end‑to‑end management of IT programs from initiation through rollout, aftercare, and further evolutions.
• Be accountable for program governance, planning, budget, delivery commitments, and value realization.
• Ensure full compliance with Capital Investment Project Methodology (CIPM) and project review bodies (ITSR, pre‑IAC, IAC).
• Steer and coordinate cross‑functional, multi‑site teams, including IT, business stakeholders, and external partners.
• Work closely with Product Owners, Integration Architects, and Business Owners to ensure solution fit, prioritization, and alignment with the IT multi‑year plan.
• Drive day‑to‑day execution through status follow‑up, risk and issue management, and prioritization of activities.
• Define, monitor, and report KPIs covering cost, quality, delivery, and business outcomes.
• Perform continuous risk and quality assessments, implementing corrective actions as needed.
• Ensure clear and regular communication to all stakeholders, including senior management, on progress, risks, planning, and costs.
• Support Product Owners and delivery teams, where required, in requirements clarification, solution design, and delivery planning.

• Define and apply a structured change management approach for programs and rollouts.

Establish appropriate governance (e.g. Change Control Board) to manage scope, adoption risks, regulatory constraints, and rollout consistency.

• Drive continuous improvement to ensure long‑term efficiency gains and contribution to business value streams.

Profile & Experience

• Master’s degree in IT or Engineering.
• 5–10 years of experience in transversal IT program management.
• Proven experience managing large programs (5–10 M€) and leading teams of 50+ FTEs.
• Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, including Agile; CIPM experience required.
• Solid background in budget management, planning, and business case delivery.
• Experience in multi‑country, multi‑plant environments with legacy systems.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, up to executive level.
• Pragmatic, solution‑oriented mindset with strong leadership and collaboration skills.
• Willingness to travel (intra‑Europe and ad‑hoc to India).
• Languages: English mandatory; additional European languages are a plus.
